HONOLULU (AP) - Big Island police have released the name of a 26-year-old man who died in a car crash on Keaau-Pahoa Road in Puna.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser (https://is.gd/NAoYqH) says Matthew Therrien was westbound Sunday when he tried to overtake another vehicle and collided with a pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup sustained minor injuries. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant.



Therrien, who died at the scene, and the driver of the truck were the only occupants in the vehicles.
