KOKOMO, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say foul play isn’t suspected in the death of a 63-year-old man whose body was found amid trash delivered to a central Indiana city facility.

Investigators believe Elvin Miracle of Bunker Hill was intoxicated and might have fallen asleep inside a trash container. A worker spotted Miracle’s body on Thursday at Kokomo’s trash transfer station, where city garbage trucks dump out their loads.

Coroner Jay Price tells the Kokomo Tribune (https://bit.ly/PF0EBM ) that Miracle’s fatal injuries possibly came from being crushed by the trash truck’s compactor. Price says the death was an unfortunate accident.
