FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Authorities have identified the owner of a Fort Wayne tobacco store fatally shot during an armed robbery.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office has ruled the death of 44-year-old Antonio Lopez Nino a homicide.
Police say the man was shot inside The Smoke House Tobacco Outlet in a neighborhood south of the city’s downtown on Monday. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died.
Investigators released surveillance images of the gunman, who was wearing a hooded jacket and baseball cap with his face covered. Police asked for the public’s help in finding the gunman.
