PHOENIX (AP) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection says officers seized multiple pounds of methamphetamine over the weekend worth more than $300,000 at ports of entry in Nogales.

Authorities say officers on Friday found 41 pounds of the drug hidden in a truck carrying eggplants.

On Saturday, CBP says its officers found more than 16 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in a car trying to cross from Mexico into the U.S. Also Saturday, officers found more than 29 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in a vehicle.



That same day, authorities seized about seven pounds of the drug found strapped to a Tucson man’s body. A day later, a Mexican woman was found with more than eight pounds of methamphetamine strapped to her body.

Five people were arrested in the separate incidents.
