KANKAKEE, Ill. (AP) - An autopsy is expected to be performed on the remains of a 40-year-old man whose body was found in a northern Illinois state park.

The (Kankakee) Daily Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1itdJ9P ) the body of Herscher resident Joel Brueggert was found Monday afternoon in Kankakee River State Park.

Authorities say his body was found near a creek by the park’s main entrance.



Authorities haven’t yet said how Brueggert died, but say he had no visible injuries.

The e Kankakee County coroner is expected to perform an autopsy later Tuesday.
