HURON, S.D. (AP) - An effort to raise money for a new 4-H exhibit hall on the state fairgrounds in Huron is getting a big financial boost.

The South Dakota State Fair Foundation said it will announce next week who donated $1 million toward the $4 million project.

The announcement will be made April 15 at the Beadle County Department of Health building in Huron.

The new hall will feature multiple classrooms, a large kitchen for 4-H special foods competitions, year-round concessions and a performance stage.

The old Clover Hall that was built in the 1950s has been demolished to make way for the new building.

The state said in November that $1.5 million had been raised.
