NEW YORK (AP) - The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in locating and identifying a suspect who attempted to sexually assault a woman in a subway station.

Police say the 21-year-old victim was near the turnstile of the Fulton and Nassau streets station in Manhattan when a man grabbed her by the neck, covered her mouth and dragged her toward the station elevator.

Police say he told the victim “I just want to love you baby.”

They say the victim screamed, bit the suspect on the hand and kicked an emergency intercom button by the elevator.

The suspect fled.

Police released a photo and video of the suspect and asked anyone with information about the March 31 incident to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
