GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - A 26-year-old Great Falls woman was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of stabbing a man in the leg.

Police say Ricci Castellanos faces charges of felony assault with a weapon and criminal endangerment for allegedly having a child hand her a knife during the fight. She was expected to make an initial court appearance on Monday.

Sgt. Jeff Beecroft tells the Great Falls Tribune (https://gftrib.com/PSP0mU) that officers responding to a reported fight at 2:30 a.m. Sunday found a man bleeding heavily from his leg. He told officers he had been fighting and later realized he had been stabbed.

Beecroft says Castellanos told investigators she had been fighting with the victim and likely stabbed him.

Witnesses reported seeing Castellanos with a knife.
