UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill. (AP) - Governors State University officials say the suburban Chicago school has narrowed down the search for an official mascot to four choices.

The school received more than 400 suggestions, but says the next mascot will be the Bengals, the Prairie Wolves, the Jaguars or the Gladiators. The one that’s chosen will be the school’s first mascot.

Community members can vote for their favorite designs. Voting starts online on Monday and ends on April 14.

The final choice will be a combination of university input and community opinion. It will be unveiled May 6.
