MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Madison police say a man stopped on suspicion of his seventh drunken driving offense was more than four times over the legal limit for driving.

Authorities say the 30-year-old Madison man was stopped Sunday about 10:30 p.m. Police spokesman Joel DeSpain says the man initially said he had not been drinking, but he blew a .38 at the Dane County Jail.

The legal limit is 0.08 for the first three drunken driving offenses. It goes down to 0.02 for the fourth or more offenses.
