REDDING, Conn. (AP) - Police in Redding say they responded to a rollover car accident and found the driver dead from a gunshot wound to his head.

Authorities told The News-Times (https://bit.ly/1oGsoWG ) that 35-year-old Gugsa Dabela of Redding appears to have shot himself inside his car. Officers and paramedics responded to the one-car accident shortly after 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police say they recovered a semi-automatic handgun at the crash site and it doesn’t appear anyone else was involved.



Authorities continue to investigate the crash and are asking anyone who witnessed the accident or saw Dabela beforehand to call Redding police.
