PHOENIX (AP) - A private track and field coach accused of having sexual conduct with a teenage girl has pleaded not guilty.

A Maricopa County Superior Court spokeswoman say Bo Joseph Reed entered his plea Monday morning.

He faces eight counts of sexual conduct with a minor.

Phoenix police have said the 48-year-old Reed was arrested in March after sexually explicit messages between him and a 17-year-old girl were found on her Facebook account.

Reed had coached the girl for the past three years.
