NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (AP) - Narragansett officials are trying to determine what caused a fire that destroyed a building housing several businesses over the weekend.

The three-alarm fire off Dean Knauss Drive was reported shortly before 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Several companies were in the building including the South Ferry Co-op, Baud Builders and Narragansett Stair & Millworks.

Fire officials say no one was injured, but the complex is a total loss.

Firefighters were on the scene into Saturday night because of hotspots that kept flaring up.
