3 killed in Fayette County house fire

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Fayette County fire officials are investigating a house fire that killed three people over the weekend.

County fire chief David Scarborough tells WSB-TV (https://bit.ly/1jW5qGx ) that two people were found dead near the front door of the house, and a third was found lying face-down near a bed after the fire Saturday night.

County fire officials say the blaze caused significant damage to the home and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The victims’ identities haven’t been released.
