WATERBURY CENTER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont’s Green Mountain Club will be hosting its annual Mud Season Egg Hunt this month.

The Green Mountain Club hosts the egg hunt as alternative to hiking during mud season, when it says trails are susceptible to damage and erosion from hikers.

The event takes place Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to noon at the GMC Visitor Center in Waterbury Center and includes separate hunts for children under and over the age of 7.

Kids will also get a chance to meet the Easter Bunny at the Laughing Moon Chocolates shop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Stowe.
