CAMERON, W.Va. (AP) - Six homes were evacuated in Marshall County after a 12-inch gas pipeline exploded.

Marshall County Emergency Management Director Tom Hart reports no injuries as a result of the smoky fire Saturday morning.

WTRF-TV (https://bit.ly/1mLQg6w ) reports that residents who were told to leave their homes as a precaution stayed with relatives until the fire was snuffed.

Hart said a hillside slip caused the line to rupture. He said it is a Williams Energy pipeline.

Crews from several localities responded to the incident.
