BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (AP) - Residents of Richland County are getting the chance to recycle unwanted electronics.

On Saturday, Keep the Midlands Beautiful is helping to put on an electronics waste recycling and shred event.

People who live in Richland County are invited to bring their computers, televisions, fax machines and cellphones to Blythewood High School between 9 a.m. and noon.

Other materials that will be accepted include copiers, VHS players, cellphones and radios.

Under state law, electronics waste must be recycled and not placed in the garbage.
