LAMAR, Colo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer while crossing a highway near Kit Carson in eastern Colorado.
The Colorado State Patrol says the pedestrian, whose name and age have not been released, was crossing Highway 287 just after 11 p.m. Friday when he was hit. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say alcohol and speed do not appear to have been involved in the crash.
