RUSTBURG, Va. (AP) - The attorney for a man accused in the shooting death of a Campbell County man wants to prohibit courtroom visitors from wearing T-shirts with images of the slain man.
Joshua Thomas Graves is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death last April of Ryan Travis “Duck” Daniel. The two were at a party in the Gladys area when the killing occurred.
Witnesses told deputies 23-year-old Graves shot Daniel with a handgun.
At a hearing last year in Campbell County District Court, about a dozen people wore T-shirts, some bearing a photo of Daniel and others an image of a duck.
The News & Advance (https://bit.ly/1mLXWWl ) reports that Graves’ attorney, Grady Donaldson, filed a motion seeking to prohibit anyone from wearing images of Daniel during a jury trial.
