TIBURON, Calif. (AP) - Eight people who jumped into San Francisco Bay after a boat they were on caught fire have been rescued

The agency says the three children and five adults were on a 28-foot boat off Tiburon when they called for help shortly after 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Because of the billowing smoke and hot conditions on board, they were urged to put on life jackets, get into the water and link arms to stay together.

A nearby pleasure boat arrived a few minutes later and pulled them from the water. No injuries were reported.
