MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (AP) - Nearly 80 students from across Vermont are competing in the state-level part of the National Geographic Bee.
The fourth-through-eighth-graders will compete on Friday at Middlebury College.
The winner will go on to represent Vermont in the National Geographic Bee in Washington, D.C., next month.
The preliminary round starts at 1 p.m. followed by the final round at 3 p.m.
