PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Portland police arrested a woman accused of intentionally hitting a bicyclist with her Volkswagen Jetta.

The incident happened Thursday at a downtown intersection.

According to Sgt. Pete Simpson, bicyclist Brian Lee Groce twice complained to a motorist that she cut him off in traffic. The second complaint was made when they were both stopped at a red light.

When the light turned green, the driver allegedly swerved left, knocking Groce off the bike. He was not seriously injured.

Detectives arrested 29-year-old Celine Julia Geday on an assault charge. She was booked into the Multnomah County Jail.
