BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Federal authorities say 285 pounds of dynamite and other high explosives were stolen from a storage bunker in western Montana.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Friday that one or more suspects forced their way into the bunker operated by Ajax Contracting Inc. west of Victor between March 15 and April 1.

Dynamite, boosters, and ammonium nitrate fuel oil were taken.

The agency offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of the explosives and the arrest of those responsible. Call 1-888-ATF-BOMB (1-888-283-2662) or 406-721-2611 with information.

In February, a Wyoming man was charged in the theft of 559 pounds of explosives from a U.S. Forest Service bunker near Red Lodge. Thirty-three-year-old Budd James Nesius remains detained on a count of possession of explosives.
