BOARDMAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a head-on crash in Kalkaska County has left two people dead.
The Traverse City Record-Eagle and MLive.com report that 24-year-old Shanda Rhoat of Kalkaska and 41-year-old Kurt Mueller, also of northern Michigan, died in the crash on Thursday afternoon in Boardman Township, about 20 miles east of Traverse City.
The sheriff’s department says a sport utility vehicle driven by Rhoat crossed the center line and collided with a pickup driven by Mueller.
The crash is under investigation.
