CEDARVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police are investigating allegations about the possible misuse of city money in Cedarville.

State police Lt. Jason Aaron tells the Southwest Times Record (https://bit.ly/1md8TnC ) that documents and evidence were seized several weeks ago through a search warrant.

A special prosecutor has been assigned to handle the case. Crawford County Prosecuting Attorney Marc McCune says he recused from the case because of personal conflicts.

McCune says the investigation involves allegations about a former city official. No arrests have been made.

Cedarville Mayor Glenanna O’Mara says the city is fully cooperating with investigators.
