PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Rhode Island’s Supreme Court has decided not to hear the appeal of a Providence strip club that had its license suspended after police found performers were offering more than lap dances.

The Providence Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1hU8IoX ) the owners of the Satin Doll won’t appeal the decision.

The city’s Board of Licenses in December suspended the club’s licenses for 20 days and ordered it to pay $4,000 in fines after finding that dancers had solicited undercover police officers for prostitution.

A hearing officer for the state Department of Business Regulation last month cut the fine to $3,000, ruling that the club did not knowingly permit the violations to occur, but was still liable.

The club reopened in January after serving the suspension.
