MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Minot airport officials say construction has begun on a new passenger terminal that will be three times the size of the existing one.
Airport manager Andy Solsvig tells KXMC-TV (https://bit.ly/1fseLqD ) that the $80 million terminal should be completed in October, with the opening set for November.
The current facility was only meant to handle 100,000 travelers a year. In 2013, about 222,000 people flew out of Minot.
Officials say the new terminal will be able to handle about 300,000 annual boardings.
