PHOENIX (AP) - A U.S. citizen sought in a fatal shooting in Phoenix has been arrested in Mexico and is now in custody in the United States.

The U.S. Marshals Service says Jesus Ruiz-Hernandez is being held at the Santa Cruz County jail in Nogales after Mexican authorities transferred custody him at the U.S.-Mexico border.

According to the Marshals Service, Mexican authorities apprehended Ruiz-Hernandez Tuesday evening in Benjamin Hill, Sonora.



Ruiz-Hernandez was sought in the connection with a shooting during a botched robbery of people in an apartment.
