KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) - A Whitefish man has pleaded guilty to stealing items from the home of a Flathead County deputy while the deputy was hospitalized and recuperating from injuries suffered in a head-on collision.
The Daily Inter Lake reports (https://bit.ly/R03zpD ) 32-year-old David Lamb pleaded guilty to a felony theft charge on April 24.
Prosecutors say Lamb stole a mountain bike, a gun and numerous tools from Brauer’s house last year. Most of the stolen items were recovered from a Kalispell pawn shop.
The thefts took place last year while Brauer was hospitalized in Washington or recovering at a Montana rehabilitation center. He suffered broken bones in both of his legs and feet in the crash last August.
Lamb’s sentencing is set for June 26.
