BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A 40-year-old Bismarck man has been sentenced to nearly 15 years in federal prison for luring a minor.
U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says Shane Walter used text messages and the Internet to persuade a juvenile to have sex in 2012 and 2013. Walter pleaded guilty earlier this year to a charge of coercion and enticement of a minor.
He was sentenced this week to 14 years and seven months in prison, five years of supervised release and more than $3,342 in restitution.
