STODDARD, Wis. (AP) - Two people have died in a head-on collision in Vernon County.

Sheriff John Spears says the crash happened on Highway 35 near Stoddard Tuesday afternoon. He says a driver, 70-year-old Robert Williams, of Stoddard, pulled out to pass a vehicle and collided with an oncoming vehicle. Williams died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, 55-year-old Margaret Springborn, of rural DeSoto, was taken to Gundersen Health System where she later died.
