PHOENIX (AP) - A man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in a case stemming from a string of forced-entry home burglaries in Goodyear last year.
A Maricopa County Superior Court spokeswoman says 25-year-old Augustine Bobby Ortega was sentenced Thursday by Judge Karen O’Connor.
Ortega pleaded guilty Feb. 28 to burglary in the first-degree, burglary in the second degree and attempted burglary in the second degree.
Ortega was arrested last June at a Phoenix home by Goodyear police and U.S. Marshals.
Authorities say Ortega and another man allegedly were linked to about a dozen “door-kick” burglaries in Goodyear.
