SIX MILE, S.C. (AP) - Pickens County officials say a brush fire destroyed about 100 acres near Six Mile.

The State Forestry Commission says several fire departments were called to the fire around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

No injuries have been reported.

Pickens County Supervisor Ray Cassell says it appears the fire was started by a power line that was blown down by the wind.

Cassell said the fire threatened 15 to 20 homes, but did not damage any of them.
