CHESAPEAKE, Va. (AP) - Police say the driver of a sport utility vehicle that hit a Chesapeake school bus last fall had a medical emergency before the wreck.
Sixty-seven-year-old Raymond Balser Jr. of Elkton was killed in the accident.
Chesapeake police say Balser’s SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided with the bus on Oct. 30, 2013. About 25 children were on the bus. Most suffered minor injuries.
Police spokeswoman Officer Kelly O’Sullivan tells The Virginian-Pilot (https://bit.ly/1pJsAVz ) that the bus driver won’t face any charges.
