LEHI, Utah (AP) - Police in Lehi say they don’t expect to file criminal charges against a pickup truck driver who accidentally struck and killed two bicyclists at an intersection last month.

Lehi police Lt. Darren Paul told The Salt Lake Tribune (https://tinyurl.com/lftxl84 ) lab results found no impairing substances in the blood of the 41-year-old Saratoga Springs man whose name has not been released.

He was involved in the March 12 accident that claimed the lives of 39-year-old Bryan Byrge of Riverton and 35-year-old John Coons of Herriman.

Both were riding south on Redwood Road when they turned onto 2100 North during an early morning commute.

Paul says witnesses reported that the driver had a green light and the right of way to continue through the intersection before the truck collided with the bikes.
