HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - A Michigan man is facing up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to a federal drug trafficking charge in West Virginia.

Federal prosecutors say 22-year-old Gregory Lindsey Jr. of Detroit pleaded guilty Monday to possession with intent to distribute oxymorphone pills.

According to a news release, detectives searched a home in Nitro in January and found pills in the pocket of his pants along with $2,000.

The case is being prosecuted as part of an ongoing effort to combat the illicit sale and misuse of prescription drugs and heroin.

Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 4.
