ATLANTA (AP) - MARTA is giving public transit riders a chance to listen to some jazz while they wait at some stations.
Starting this week and running through the month of May MARTA is hosting “Jazz Mondays.” The annual event is co-sponsored by the Atlanta Jazz Festival.
The free, two-hour concerts are part of the “31 Days of Jazz” leading up to the annual festival. The first concert was Monday at the Decatur station.
Other performances are scheduled for:
- Monday, May 5: Doraville station from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Monday, May 12: College Park station from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Monday, May 19: Midtown station from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The 2014 Atlanta Jazz Festival at Piedmont Park will run from May 23-25.
