PHOENIX (AP) - Bond is set at $108,000 for a man accused of trying to kidnap a woman at knifepoint from a Phoenix business.

Brandon M. Anderson, of Fountain Hills, had his initial court appearance Tuesday. He doesn’t have an attorney yet.

Phoenix police say the 28-year-old Anderson was arrested Monday after officers responded to a call from a business.

The caller said a man took an employee at knifepoint and provided a description of the suspect’s vehicle. Anderson was arrested two miles away from the business.

He’s being held on suspicion of kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say the woman knows Anderson, he allegedly threatened to hurt her with a knife if she didn’t go with him and punched her in the face once while in the vehicle.
