FREEPORT, Ill. (AP) - Police in Freeport say they’re investigating after a 2-year-old boy was found to have a rock of cocaine stuck in his nose that had to be removed by a doctor.
The Journal-Standard reports (https://bit.ly/1kky7uL) Tuesday that authorities say the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services has placed the boy in protective custody. Police say the boy’s parents took him to the doctor Monday when he was acting strange. The doctor removed a substance from the boy’s nose that later tested positive for cocaine.
No charges have been filed. The boy wasn’t immediately identified.
