NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Police in Norman say officers performing a welfare check on a resident found a body buried outside the home where the officers were sent.

Capt. Todd Gibson said in a Tuesday news release the cause and manner of the person’s death has not been determined.

The person’s name, age and gender were not released and police say the body was sent to the state medical examiner’s office for formal identification.
