SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A Utah defense attorney who has admitted to a sexual relationship with a teenage girl will serve time in jail and home confinement.

Third District Court Judge James Blanch on Monday sentenced 66-year-old Steven Kuhnhausen to serve 120 days in jail followed by 90 days of home confinement, 100 hours of community serve and three years’ probation.

Kuhnhausen was also sentenced to serve zero to five years in prison but Blanch suspended that sentence.

Kuhnhausen pleaded guilty in January to two counts of unlawful sexual contact with a 16- or 17-year-old girl starting in fall of 2012 into January 2013.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports Kuhnhausen apologized in court Monday.
