WESTPORT, Mass. (AP) - The victim of a car crash in Westport last weekend has been identified as a 16-year-old high school sophomore and the daughter of a local pastor.
Police say Erika Hall was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle crash late Saturday night.
Hall was a rear seat passenger in a car driven by a 16-year-old boy that struck a utility pole and flipped over. She was not wearing a belt and was ejected. The driver and two 18-year-old male passengers were injured.
Authorities tell The Herald News (https://bit.ly/1rIKy8p ) the crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
Hall played field hockey at Westport High School and worked at a local ice cream stand.
Her father, Nathan Hall, is pastor of the Pacific Union Congregational Church.
