SELDEN, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say they used a rescue basket to hoist a woman to safety after her SUV went down a 15-foot ravine on Long Island.

The accident occurred Sunday afternoon on North Ocean Avenue in Selden.

Fire officials say the SUV went off the road, flipped over and landed on its roof.

Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1rDWcRW0 ) says three children in the vehicle managed to climb out of the ravine before rescuers arrived.

Firefighters pulled the woman up about 10 minutes later.

All four victims were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital. They were not seriously hurt.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
