GARYVILLE, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police say one Reserve man was killed and another was seriously injured when a car hit a tree and both were thrown out.

Trooper Evan Harrell says the dead man, 21-year-old Leroy Noble, was a passenger in a 2004 Chrysler Sebring driven by 22-year-old Torian Williams.

He says Williams apparently drove off the right side of a curve on Louisiana Highway 24 in Garyville, overcorrected, and went off the left side, hitting a tree.

Harrell says the car began to roll over, throwing out both men. He says neither was wearing a seat belt.
