STEELTON, Pa. (AP) - The Pennsylvania Health Department is offering testing information for current and former patients of a central Pennsylvania doctor whose license was pulled after an inspection.

Maryjo Szada’s license was suspended this month after health officials said an inspection at her Steelton office found the family physician failed to properly disinfect equipment and put patients at risk of infection.

State health officials Monday said female patients seen by Szada between 1994 and 2014 who had any procedure involving a speculum should get tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV.

Health officials said patients can call 1-877-PA-HEALTH from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for information and assistance finding testing options.

Szada also agreed to provide free testing and will be contacting her patients with details.
