ASHLAND, Neb. (AP) - The first Toast Nebraska wine festival will feature music, food and, of course, wine tastings.
The event will be held Saturday and Sunday at Mahoney State Park near Ashland in eastern Nebraska.
Lincoln reggae group Ro Hempel Band will be the featured entertainment. Omaha group The Labels also will play during the festival, which will showcase wines from 17 Nebraska wineries.
Bike tours, educational seminars on wine and olive oil and plenty of food options will also be found.
Ticket prices range from $25 to $65, with the latter including commemorative items, limited edition wines and gourmet buffet.
The event is hosted by the Nebraska Winery and Grape Growers Association and Blur Parties. It’s sponsored by the Nebraska Tourism and the Nebraska Game and Parks commissions.
