NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - A New Haven man has been critically wounded in a shooting in the city’s Hill neighborhood.
Police say 41-year-old Courtney Malcolm suffered gunshot wounds to his legs, arms and midsection in the shooting, which occurred on Davenport Avenue at about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Police say there was an illegal after-hours club operating there.
Police say Malcolm told them he had been confronted outside the club and robbed.
Witnesses told police the shooter was a young black man, wearing brown cargo pants. He fled the scene on foot.
