CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - A southern New Jersey man has pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in the stabbing death of his former girlfriend.

Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk says 49-year-old Robert Norwood of Camden entered his plea Monday. He’s expected to receive a 27-year state prison term when he’s sentenced June 6.

Norwood admitted that he fatally stabbed 24-year-old Walkeena Moody inside her unit at the Ferry Station Apartments in Camden in December 2012. Her injuries included stab wounds to the head and body.

Norwood was arrested a short time after Moody’s body was found in her bathtub.
