PLAINFIELD, Ind. (AP) - Authorities are trying to identify a person killed in a fiery crash in central Indiana.

The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department says the crash was reported about 3 a.m. Sunday in Plainfield, about 15 miles west of Indianapolis. Arriving deputies found a vehicle on its roof and engulfed in flames.

Investigators say the vehicle ran off the roadway, struck a tree and a sign, then came back onto the roadway where it overturned.
