WEST ORANGE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a federal air marshal has accidentally shot himself in the leg with his service weapon in West Orange.
The Newark Star-Ledger reports (https://bit.ly/1lYapKh) that the unidentified marshal suffered non-life threatening injuries after the shooting inside an office building Sunday.
West Orange Police Sgt. David Palmere says the marshal was taken to University Hospital in Newark. He says the circumstances around the shooting were still being investigated but that it didn’t appear that the marshal would face criminal charges.
